Katie's Story
Katie is currently completing her Master of Music in Flute Performance at the University of Toronto, after earning a Bachelor of Music with Honours Distinction and an Artist Diploma from Western University. She performs with various orchestras across the GTA and is passionate about making music approachable, fun, and rewarding for students of all ages.
As a pianist and flutist, Katie grew up in Timmins, Ontario, and started music lessons perched at the piano bench at the age of four. While continuing her education at Western, she developed a strong foundation in melody, harmony, and musical expression. It played a large role in shaping how she understands and approaches music today.
Katie has always been passionate as both an avid performer and as an educator. Katie brings a warm, patient, and flexible approach to each lesson. She especially enjoys working with young kids, creating a positive, supportive and exciting space where students can build solid skills and develop a real love for music.
